Splitting the difference
- The classic consensus is that Yale combines the academic strengths afforded by a comprehensive graduate program (as at Harvard) with the more intimate liberal-arts college atmosphere of Princeton. Best of both worlds, you might say. Stanford has better weather though ;)

- Yale should be the first or second best school in the country.

Location has been great since 2002
- I attended Yale from 2002-2006 and cannot agree with Guest Kim. Perhaps 30 years ago Yale and New Haven were divided, but since my time there, the university and the city coexist very nicely. There is an active, lively city bustling all around. Except the residential buildings, Yale is by no means walled off - it is deeply integrated into the city.

Dynamic University
- I am applying there early in the fall. It is such a dynamic place. All the ivies have great academia (although Yale is still one of the better ones) but Yale struck me as something different. There is a real infusion of culture & real life into the classes. Great campus too!

Yale's Location
- I didn't apply to Yale, but when I visited I wasn't impressed with the location. The campus is like a beautiful walled village within a rather run-down city. The town and gown divide was much more pronounced than at other universities I visited.
