Just Going With the Flow
- I didn't have a formal plan or reservation to visit colleges this summer (I'm a high school senior), but I still had a great experience visiting Hamilton College. I was coming back from vacation with my family, and we decided that we were going to stop by to look at the buildings and hopefully get a feel for the school by the campus. Luckily, the day we stopped by was freshman orientation, so I had the unique and useful experience of getting to know the campus as if I were a freshman. I followed one group around, participated in their activities, and made a friend (who I got some great info from and stayed in touch with via facebook). The only negative parts are that I didn't get to see the inside of the buildings because their scavenger hunt took place outside the buildings. Because of my great experience over the summer, I'm excited to do an official campus visit on November 7th and apply in January.
