Surprisingly Positive
- Impressive Science facilities, school located across the street from larger Med. School. Warm, approachable professors eager to mentor. Beats Rhodes, College of Charleston, Elon, and others hands-down in equipment/facility, particularly if med-research is your goal. Pretty Southern in feel, but again, we felt a real sense of sincerity, and acceptance that was unexpected. Keep an open mind. Things lacking: library is not wonderful, a few buildings could be spruced up, and if you are into the arts (dance, theater) you probably will be disappointed. We're from a very large metropolitan city (Atlanta) so Jackson is not much to write home about. Seems to have been left behind, but making strides toward vibrancy.

Not the best
- The article above said it best, "one of the top liberal arts colleges in Mississippi." Remember, that's in Mississippi which is known for almost anything before education. Millsaps is Mississippi's attempt at a Rice, Emory, or Duke but falls far from it.
