It's good to keep in mind that SAT scores are just one part of the application. The admissions officers at many of these Kentucky colleges, especially at the top Kentucky colleges, will also want to see a strong academic record, a winning essay, meaningful extracurricular activities and good letters of recommendation.

Some students with good scores, but an otherwise weak application, may not be admitted to these schools. Likewise, some students with lower scores, but an overall much stronger application (taking into account the things listed above), may be accepted. So, if your scores are lower than those listed here, don't lose all hope. Remember that 25% of enrolled students have scores lower than the ranges shown here.

Some schools don't show any scores. This could be because they only accept ACT scores (be sure to check out the ACT version of this table), or because they are test-optional. This means that students are not required to submit scores as part of the application process, although, if your tests are good, it's still a good idea to submit them. Also, some test-optional schools do require scores for students applying for financial aid or scholarships. Be sure to check out a school's requirements before applying.
