Keep in mind that 25% of enrolled students have scores below those listed. Also remember that ACT scores are just one part of the application. The admissions officers in Kentucky, especially at the top Kentucky colleges, will also want to see a strong academic record, a winning essay, meaningful extracurricular activities and good letters of recommendation.

Some applicants with decent scores (but a weak application overall) may not be accepted to these schools, while applicants with lower scores (but a stronger application in general) may be admitted. Since many of these schools have holistic admissions, scores, while part of the application, are not the only thing the admissions office will look at. If your scores are below those listed here, don't give up hope!

Some of the schools do not show any score information. They may only accept SAT scores (be sure to visit the SAT version of this table), or they may be completely test-optional. This means that applicants are not required to submit scores as part of their applications. However, if you have decent scores, it's a good idea to submit them anyway, since they will only help your application. And, it's important to remember that some test-optional schools require these scores if you will be applying for financial aid or scholarships. Be sure to check the school's application requirements.
