Barnard is one of the best liberal arts colleges in the country for science, and you'll find the departments of biology, chemistry, environmental science, physics, and neuroscience all in Altschul Hall.
The 118,000 square foot tower as built in 1969 and contains numerous classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices. Even non-science majors will frequent Altschul -- the mailroom and student mailboxes are all located on the lower level.
