Some of their most popular undergraduates majors include biology, nursing, business, and interdisciplinary studies. Despite having only been established in 1969, UTSA has grown quickly and significantly in its short history. The UTSA Roadrunners field 17 Division I sports teams.

Outside of academics, the university has 5,038 acres dedicated to supporting recreation, instruction, farming and ranching.
