The America East Conference is an NCAA Division I non-Football athletic conference with members coming from New England, New York, and Maryland. The conference headquarters are located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Seven of the nine members are public universities. The America East Conference also has two associate members: Fairfield University for field hockey and Providence College for women's volleyball. The conference sponsors 20 sports.
