Youngstown State University Description:

Youngstown State University's attractive 145-acre campus is situated in downtown Youngstown, a city located southeast of Cleveland near the Pennsylvania border. Students from Western Pennsylvania receive reduced out-of-state tuition rates, and the university as a whole has lower costs than most similar public institutions in the region. The university has a 19 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and students can choose from over 100 majors. Popular fields span a wide spectrum from the humanities to engineering. Students and community members should check out the Spitz SciDome -- a planetarium with free shows on the weekend. In athletics, the Youngstown State University Penguins compete in the NCAA Division I Horizon League. The university fields eight men's and ten women's intercollegiate sports.
