The College of Wooster Description:

Located on a 240-acre campus about 60 miles south of Cleveland in the town of Wooster, Ohio, The College of Wooster is one of Ohio's top private liberal arts colleges. As a member of the Five Colleges of Ohio consortium, the College of Wooster collaborates on both the academic and athletic fronts with Oberlin College, Kenyon College, Ohio Wesleyan University, and Denison University. The College of Wooster's strong liberal arts curriculum has earned it a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. The college is probably best known for its Independent Study program in which each senior works with a faculty mentor on a major project. The college's academics are supported by an 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio. On the athletic front, the College of Wooster Fighting Scots compete in the NCAA Division III North Coast Athletic Conference. The college fields 10 men's and 11 women's intercollegiate sports.
