Wheeling Jesuit University Description:

Wheeling Jesuit University is a private, Roman Catholic liberal arts university in Wheeling, West Virginia. The 65-acre campus sits on a hill at the center of Ohio Valley, surrounded by a small residential village and less than a mile from the Ohio River. Located on West Virginia’s northern panhandle, Wheeling is also just an hour west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Academics are strong, and with a student faculty ratio of 11 to 1, Wheeling Jesuit provides individual attention to its students. There are more than 30 undergraduate majors, with popular programs in nursing, organizational leadership and psychology, and professional and graduate programs in business administration, accountancy, organizational leadership, physical therapy and nursing. Students are active on campus with more than 30 clubs and organizations and an all-faith campus ministry integrated with student life. Wheeling Jesuit fields 20 varsity athletic teams, nicknamed the Cardinals, in the NCAA Division II West Virginia Intercollegiate Conference.
