Wesleyan College Description:

Wesleyan College comes across its motto, "First for Women," honestly. In 1836, Wesleyan became the first college chartered to grant degrees to women (Mount Holyoke was chartered the same year). The college also has the oldest alumnae association in the country, and it is the home to the first sororities (today the school no longer has sororities). The 200-acre campus located in Macon, Georgia, features Georgian-style brick architecture. The college has an impressive 9 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of about 20. In 2010, the college ranked 3rd among Princeton Review's best value colleges.
