Founded in 1874, the University of Nevada at Reno is a comprehensive public university that offers over 75 bachelor's degree programs. The university is made up of numerous schools and colleges. Business, journalism, biology, health sciences and engineering are all popular among undergraduates. The city of Reno sits in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and Lake Tahoe is just 45 minutes away. In athletics, the Nevada Wolf Pack competes in the NCAA Division I Mountain West Conference. The football team competes in Mackay Stadium which has a seating capacity of roughly 30,000.
