UNLV Description:

The University of Nevada at Las Vegas, UNLV, is a large public university offering over 220 degree programs. Stunning desert and mountains surround the 350-acre main campus, and the university has been undergoing rapid expansion since it first opened in 1957. UNLV has a diverse student population and an 18 to 1 student / faculty ratio. The university recently opened a new Academic Success Center to address their low six-year graduation rate. About 10% of UNLV students live on campus. In athletics, the UNLV Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I Mountain West Conference.
