University of West Florida Description:
The University of West Florida is a public university and member of the State University System of Florida. The large 1,600-acre main campus is located just north of Pensacola, Florida, along the Escambie River. The campus features lots of trails, trees and water, and the Gulf of Mexico beaches are just 20 minutes away. West Florida students come from 48 states and 90 countries, and the university prides itself on the diversity of its students. The average class size is 25 students (37 for first-year courses). In athletics, the West Florida Argonauts compete in the NCAA Division II Gulf South Conference.
