University of the Sciences Description:

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia is a private pharmacy and health science university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded as a college of pharmacy in 1821, the first pharmacy school in North America. The 35-acre campus is situated in the heart of Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood, a center of education, research and culture just west of downtown Center City and home to five other colleges and universities. USciences is made up of five colleges, which collectively offer 25 bachelor’s, 13 master’s and 6 doctoral degrees. Popular among these programs are health science, biology, occupational therapy and pharmacy. Students participate in a variety of campus life events and activities; there are nearly 80 clubs and organizations at the university, including more than 20 academic and professional organizations and an active Greek life. The University of the Sciences Devils compete in the NCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference.
