University of Montana Western Admissions Overview:

The University of Montana Western has open admissions. Any qualified student has the chance to study at the university. In addition to the application, students will need to send in ACT or SAT scores and high school transcripts. Most admitted students have grades in the "B" range or higher. University of Montana Western Description:

Located in Dillon, Montana, the University of Montana Western is a small public university and an affiliate of the University of Montana. The rural campus is surrounded by natural wonders, including the Beaverhead National Forest and Yellowstone National Park within a few hours of campus. UMW is also the only public college in the country to offer the Experience One scheduling model, an educational program that emphasizes hands-on experiential learning while students take one class at a time. The university has a student faculty ratio of 18 to 1. Students can choose from 24 academic majors in programs including business administration, secondary education and the nation’s only bachelor’s degree in natural horsemanship. Students at Montana Western are actively involved in campus life, participating in over 30 clubs and organizations. The University of Montana Western Bulldogs compete in the NAIA Frontier Conference in men’s basketball, football and rodeo and women’s basketball, rodeo and volleyball.
