University of Central Oklahoma Description:

Founded in 1890, the University of Central Oklahoma is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state. UCO is located in Edmond, Oklahoma, the sixth largest city in the state. The university has a 21 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and students can choose from over 110 majors. Professional programs in business and nursing are popular among undergraduates. Notable features include high satisfaction for housing, a winning cheerleading squad and wrestling team, and a service learning center. Outside of the classroom, students can join a number of campus-wide clubs and organizations, including academic groups (Aerospace Club, English Society, Engineering Club); honor societies, recreational clubs (UCO Gamer, Fishing Club, Sailing Club); and performing arts groups (Choir, Orchestra, Band, Theater).
