UMass Lowell Description:

The University of Massachusetts Lowell is a public university located in Lowell, Massachusetts and the third-largest member of the UMass system. The 125-acre urban campus is situated along the Merrimack River across the water from downtown Lowell, less than an hour outside of Boston, and just 30 miles south of Manchester, New Hampshire. UMass Lowell has a student faculty ratio of 15 to 1, and the university offers more than 120 undergraduate, 32 master’s and 20 doctoral degree programs. These include popular undergraduate programs in business administration, information science, criminal justice, and electrical engineering as well as graduate programs in criminal justice, educational curriculum and instruction, plastics engineering, and psychology. Students are involved in an array of extracurricular activities on campus including more than 100 clubs and organizations. The UMass Lowell River Hawks compete in the NCAA Division I America East Conference with the exception of men’s hockey, which competes in the Division I Hockey East Conference.
