St. Lawrence University Description:
St. Lawrence University can boast that it has been coeducational with a progressive teaching philosophy since its founding in 1856. The school's name comes from the nearby St. Lawrence river, the site of both crew practice and academic research. The university has a graduate program in education, but SLU's primary focus is undergraduate education. With an 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio, students are sure to get a lot of interaction with the faculty.
