St. John Fisher College Description:
St. John Fisher College is a private, Catholic institution offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. The attractive 154-acre campus is located in a residential neighborhood just east of Downtown Rochester. Nazareth College is about a mile to the south. Fisher undergraduates can choose from 32 majors and 9 pre-professional programs. Business, education, and health fields are most popular. At the graduate level, the college offers 12 master's and 3 doctoral programs. Academics are supported by small classes and a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. The college represents a good value, and all undergraduates receive some form of financial assistance. On the athletic front, the St. John Fisher Cardinals compete in the NCAA Division III Empire 8 Athletic Conference for most sports. The college fields 10 men's and 11 women's intercollegiate sports.
