St. Catherine University (formerly called the College of St. Catherine) is a private Catholic university for women located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The school has a second campus in Minneapolis. St. Kate's frequently ranks highly among master's-level universities in the Midwest. Professional areas of study such as business, education and health are the most popular among undergraduates. The university has an 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 20. Outside of the classroom, students can take part in a range of clubs and other extracurricular activities, including academic clubs, leadership organizations, religious groups, and performing arts ensembles. In athletics, the St. Kate Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division III Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
