St. Andrews University Description:

St. Andrews University, formerly known as St. Andrews Presbyterian College, is a small, private, Presbyterian liberal arts college located in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The scenic 940-acre campus is centered around a small lake and is situated just 30 miles south of the resort area of Pinehurst, North Carolina and within two hours of several major metropolitan areas, including Raleigh and Charlotte. The university has a student faculty ratio of 10 to 1 and average class sizes of 15-20 students. St. Andrews offers 14 academic majors for undergraduates and 23 minors. The most popular programs include business administration, elementary education, interdisciplinary studies and sport and recreation studies. Students participate in an array of campus activities, including more than 20 clubs and organizations, six honor societies and an extensive equestrian program (St. Andrews made the list of top equestrian colleges). The St. Andrews Knights compete in the NAIA Appalachian Athletic Conference.
