Shenandoah University Description:

Located in Winchester, Virginia, Shenandoah University is a private university affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The 100-acre campus sits in the northernmost tip of Virginia, about 75 miles from Washington, D.C. Undergraduates can choose from 43 majors, and the school has broad strengths ranging from the arts to professional programs. Shenandoah has an 8 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and the majority of classes have fewer than 20 students. Shenandoah University ranks highly among masters-level institutions in the Southern U.S. On the athletic front, most teams of the Shenandoah Hornets compete in the NCAA Division III USA South Athletic Conference.
