St. Joseph's College New York Admissions Overview:

With an acceptance rate of 67%, St. Joseph's College is accessible to the majority of applicants. Only around one-third of those who apply are turned down each year. St. Joseph’s College is an independent liberal arts college with two campuses in Brooklyn and Patchogue, Long Island. Founded in 1916 as a women’s day college, St. Joseph’s has been coeducational since 1970, although the majority of students are still female. The main campus in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn is surrounded by a diverse academic and cultural attractions including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. The 27-acre Patchogue campus on the south shore of eastern Long Island sits adjacent to Great Patchogue Lake, offering a more relaxed, suburban setting. St. Joseph’s offers 24 undergraduate majors and 11 master’s degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, including popular programs in business administration, child study and special education, speech and medical technology. Student life is active with nearly 90 clubs and organizations between the two campuses. The campuses field separate NCAA Division III athletic teams; Long Island’s Golden Eagles compete in the Skyline Conference, and Brooklyn’s Bears are members of the Hudson Valley Athletic Conference.
