RPI, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is a technology-focused university located in Troy, New York, a city of about 50,000 near the state capital of Albany. RPI has a 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio and more of an undergraduate focus than many of the top engineering schools.
