Ringling College of Art and Design is a small, independent art school located in Sarasota, Florida. The picturesque 35-acre campus sits along Florida’s Gulf Coast, just minutes from Sarasota Bay and downtown Sarasota and within an hour of other major Florida cities such as St. Petersburg and Tampa. The college has a student faculty ratio of 14 to 1. Ringling offers bachelor of fine arts degrees for 13 artistic disciplines, the most popular of which include illustration, graphic and interactive communication and animation, as well as a bachelor of arts program in business of art and design. Beyond academics, students are actively involved in campus life, with more than 30 student-led clubs and organizations and an extensive volunteering and service-learning program that generates an average of 12,000 hours of community service every year. Ringling does not sponsor any varsity sports, but students can participate in a variety of competitive and recreational club sports.
