Randolph College, the new name for the newly coeducational Randolph-Macon Woman's College, is a private liberal arts college located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Students get a lot of personal attention at Randolph -- the college has an impressive 8 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 12. Not surprisingly, the college ranks well in the National Survey of Student Engagement. Randolph has had a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa for nearly a century, a testimony to its strengths in the liberal arts and sciences. Students can choose from 50 majors and minors.
