Purdue University Calumet is a regional campus of the Purdue University system. The nearly 200-acre campus is located in Hammond, Indiana, a city in the northwest corner of the state with close proximity to Chicago. About 80% of students reside in Indiana. The university awards associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Among bachelor's degree students, business and nursing are the most popular majors. Academics are supported by a 21 to 1 student / faculty ratio. In athletics, the Purdue Calumet Peregrines compete in the NAIA Division II Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC). Popular sports include baseball, soccer, golf, cross country, basketball, softball, and track and field.
