Oregon Institute of Technology Description:

Since first opening its doors in 1947, the Oregon Institute of Technology has done an admirable job keeping on top of changes in technology. The university is home to the nation's first undergraduate program in renewable energy engineering, and today the school is working to become the first geothermally powered university in the country. Located near Klamath Lake in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, OIT's beautiful location goes hand-in-hand with the school's emphasis on sustainability. The main residential campus is in Klamath Falls, Oregon, but OIT also has four Portland area locations for degree-completion programs, specialized campuses in Seattle and La Grande, and a range of online programs. Academics are supported by a 20 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Student life is active with over 40 clubs and organizations. In athletics, the Oregon Tech Hustlin' Owls compete in the NAIA Cascade Collegiate Conference.
