University of Northwestern Description:

The University of Northwestern (formerly Northwestern College) is a private non-denominational Christian university located in Roseville, Minnesota, a town just north of St. Paul. The 107-acre campus sits on the edge of Lake Johanna. The university has a 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 22. Undergraduates can choose from over 70 areas of study with majors in business, ministries and psychology being the most popular. The university does well with financial aid, and nearly all students receive some form of grant aid. In athletics, the Northwester Eagles compete in the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). The university fields 17 intercollegiate sports, and students can also participate in intramurals. Popular sports include baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and track and field.
