Northwest University Admissions Overview:

With an acceptance rate of 93% in 2016, Northwest University is not an extremely selective school. Students with solid grades and test scores have a good chance of being admitted. To apply, applicants will need to submit an application (which can be filled out online) along with high school transcripts, a personal essay, a letter of recommendation, and scores from the SAT or ACT. Northwest University Description:

Northwest University is a small, private university founded by the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. Since its founding in 1934, the school's evangelical identity has been central to its mission and learning environment. Northwest University's 56-acre campus is located in Kirkland, Washington, near Lake Washington and Seattle. The University of Washington campus is just a ten-minute drive away, and companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are nearby offering numerous opportunities for internships and employment. Northwest University offers associate, bachelor's master's, and doctoral degrees. Undergraduate students can choose from over 50 bachelor's programs; the professional fields of business and nursing are most popular. In recent years the university has expanded opportunities for adult students to earn college degrees. Whether students commute or live in one of the university's residential complexes, they will find that campus life is active with many options for involvement including student Senate, recreational sports such as flag football and dodgeball, and numerous clubs and organizations. On the athletic front, the Northwest University Eagles compete in the NAIA Cascade Collegiate Conference. The university fields ten varsity athletic teams.
