North Georgia College Description:

Founded in 1873, North Georgia College & State University is the second oldest public university in Georgia and the first to admit women. 12% of students are enrolled as cadets, and the college takes pride in its status as one of only six Senior Military Colleges in the U.S. NGCSU is designated as The Military College of Georgia and The Leadership Institution of Georgia. The college's iconic Price Memorial Hall with its gold-covered steeple is a former U.S. Mint and a nationally registered historic site. Located in Dahlonega, Georgia, NGCSU sits on a 630-acre campus in the midst of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Students will find many opportunities for outdoor activities in the vicinity. On the athletic front, the NGCSU Saint Bernard's compete in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference.
