Norfolk State University Description:

Norfolk State University (NSU) is a historically Black university located on a 134-acre campus in Norfolk, Virginia. The university has seen significant growth in recent years with the opening of a new student center and the construction of a new library. Students enroll from across the country with over two-thirds coming from Virginia. Among undergraduates, professional fields such as business, communications and nursing are extremely popular, as are biology and the social sciences. Norfolk State has an 18 to 1 student / faculty ratio. On the athletic front, the Norfolk State Spartans compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
