Mount St. Mary’s University is a private, Catholic liberal arts university located in Los Angeles, California. The college is primarily attended by women; over 90% of the student body is female. The 56-acre Brentwood main campus in western Los Angeles sits in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains just a few miles from the Pacific coast; the college also has a second campus just south of downtown Los Angeles. Mount Saint Mary’s has a student faculty ratio of 12 to 1 and offers 26 undergraduate bachelor’s degree programs and seven associate’s degrees as well as eight graduate programs. Popular areas of study among undergraduates include nursing, business administration and sociology, and the most common graduate programs are business administration, physical therapy and nursing. Mount Saint Mary’s students stay involved in campus life through a variety of extracurricular activities, including over 30 clubs and organizations between the two campuses.
