Morningside College Description:

Morningside College is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the Methodist Church. The attractive 68-acre campus is located in a historic residential neighborhood of Sioux City, Iowa, a city of 140,000 in the northwest of the state where Nebraska and South Dakota join Iowa at the confluence of the Big Sioux and Missouri rivers. Students come from 20 states and several foreign countries. Among undergraduates, business administration is the most popular major, and at the Master's level, the college has robust education programs. Academics are supported by a 17 to 1 student / faculty ratio and small classes. Students do well after graduation, and the college can boast of a 96-percent job placement rate. Campus life is active, and the majority of full-time students life on campus. In athletics, the Morningside Mustangs compete in the NAIA Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). The college fields ten men's and nine women's intercollegiate sports. Popular choices include soccer, softball, swimming, football, track and field, wrestling, and bowling.
