Located in Morehead, Kentucky, Morehead State University is a public university whose 500-acre main campus features hiking trails and a lake. The university prides itself on its friendly environment and the close relationships between students and faculty. MSU has a 16 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and over 75% of classes have fewer than 20 students. Students can choose from over 100 clubs and organizations, and the surrounding area offers many options for outdoor recreation. MSU students come from 42 states and 35 countries. In athletics, the Morehead State University Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. The university fields seventeen varsity sports.
