Millikin University Description:

Millikin University is a comprehensive private university located in Decatur, Illinois. Millikin’s educational program is based on its signature Performance Learning experience, which combines traditional classroom education with practical experiences such as internships, presentations, market research and several student-run campus businesses, including an art gallery, publishing company, theatre company and record label. The 75-acre urban campus sits in the heart of the city of Decatur, less than an hour east of Springfield and two hours northeast of St. Louis, Missouri. Millikin boasts a low student faculty ratio of 11 to 1 and an average class size of 21 students. Its academic offerings include nearly 50 bachelor’s degrees, with popular programs in nursing, communication, elementary education and music performance, and master’s degrees in nursing and business administration. Students are very involved on campus, participating in more than 110 clubs and organizations, and the Millikin Big Blue competes in the NCAA Division III College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
