Founded in 1855, Millersville University of Pennsylvania is a public, four-year university with nearly 9,000 students, a student/faculty ratio of about 20 to 1, and an average class size of 27. MU is located on 250 acres in Millersville, Pennsylvania, a town about an hour and a half from Philadelphia and three hours from New York City. MU offers 55 bachelor’s, two associate, and 22 master’s degree programs, as well as 40 certification programs through their School of Science and Mathematics, School of Education, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Honors College, and College of Graduate and Professional Studies. There is plenty to do on campus -- MU is home to over 90 student clubs and organizations including a Fencing Guild, Sci-Fi Club, and Martial Arts Club, as well as intramural sports and 16 fraternities and sororities. MU competes in the NCAA Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with 19 varsity sports.
