Merrimack College is an independent Roman Catholic college in the Augustinian tradition. The 220-acre suburban campus is located in North Andover, Massachusetts, 25 miles north of Boston and less than an hour drive from the Atlantic coast. Merrimack has a 12 to 1 student faculty ratio. It offers 39 undergraduate areas of study as well as three master’s degree programs in education, engineering and management. Popular majors for undergraduates include business administration, psychology and political science; education is the most popular graduate program. Merrimack students are involved in a variety of social, cultural and spiritual activities on campus, including campus ministry, an active Greek life, several intramural athletic programs and more than 50 student clubs and organizations. The Merrimack Warriors compete in NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey in the Hockey East conference and the NCAA Division II Northeast Ten Conference in 21 other men’s and women’s sports. Other popular sports include baseball, lacrosse, basketball, rowing, football, and field hockey.
