Admissions at Meredith College are not highly selective--around two-thirds of applicants are admitted each year. Meredith College is a private liberal arts college for women located on an attractive 225-acre campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. Students come from 35 states and 39 countries, and the college places high value on diversity and global experiences. Students can chose from 32 majors, and the college has an impressive 10 to 1 student / faculty ratio and average class size of 16. Experiential learning is a high priority at Meredith, and the majority of students participate in some form of internship, co-op, or other experiential learning opportunity. On the student life front, Meredith students can choose from over 90 clubs and organizations. In athletics, the Meredith Avenging Angels compete in the NCAA Division III USA South Athletic Conference. Popular sports at Meredith include softball, soccer, track, tennis, and basketball.
