McDaniel College Description:
Founded in 1867, McDaniel College is a private liberal arts college located in Westminster, Maryland. Baltimore is 30 miles away, and Washington D.C. is about an hour to the south. The college prides itself on the interaction between students and professors -- an effort greatly aided by the school's 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio and average class size of 17. The college offers 60 programs of study, plus students can design their own majors. High achieving students should check out McDaniel's Honors Program. For strengths in the liberal arts and sciences, McDaniel College was awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. In athletics, the McDaniel Green Terror compete in the NCAA Division III Centennial Conference. The college fields twelve men's and twelve women's intercollegiate sports.
