Maryville College Admissions Overview:

In 2016, Maryville College had an acceptance rate of 58%. The school is only somewhat selective, but students with good grades and test scores have a decent chance of being admitted. In addition to sending in an application, students will need to submit ACT or SAT scores, high school transcripts, and a letter of recommendation. Maryville College Description:

Founded in 1819, Maryville College is one of the older colleges in the South. This small liberal arts college's 320-acre campus is located in Maryville, Tennessee, a town less than half an hour south of Knoxville. Since its founding, the school has had ties to the Presbyterian Church. Students come from 17 states and 15 countries. The college has an entirely undergraduate focus, and students can choose from over 60 fields of study. Fields in biology, business and psychology are particularly popular, and the curriculum is supported by a healthy 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 17. Financial aid is generous, and nearly all students receive some form of grant aid. In athletics, the Maryville Scots compete in the NCAA Division III Great South Athletic Conference for most sports. Football competes in the USA South Athletic Conference.
