Manhattanville College Description:
Manhattanville College is a small, private liberal arts institution located in Purchase, New York. The 100-acre suburban campus is a 30-minute drive from New York City and features environmentally friendly facilities and historic architecture and landscaping partially designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Manhattanville has a student faculty / ratio of 12 to 1 and an average class size of 17 students. The college offers 40 undergraduate majors and minors as well as 10 master’s degree programs in education, business, creative writing and liberal studies and a doctorate in education. Popular undergraduate areas of study include management, communication studies, English and history, while the majority of graduate students are enrolled in the physical education, special education and childhood education programs. Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities on campus, including nearly 40 student clubs and organizations. The Manhattanville Valiants compete in the NCAA Division III Freedom Conference within the Middle Atlantic Conference.
