Lycoming College is a private liberal arts college located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1812, it is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the country. The 42-acre suburban campus in north central Pennsylvania is within a few hours of several major cities including New York, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia; Williamsport is also known as the home of Little League Baseball and a number of other cultural sites. Lycoming has an average class size of 18 students and a student faculty ratio of 13 to 1. The college offers 35 undergraduate areas of study, the most popular including psychology, business administration, biology and history. Students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities on campus, including 50 clubs and organizations, eight fraternities and sororities and an active student leadership development program. The Lycoming Warriors compete in the NCAA Division III Commonwealth Conference, the Middle Atlantic Conference and the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference.
