Linfield College Description:

Linfield College is a private, comprehensive liberal arts college whose 193-acre park-like main campus is located in McMinnville, Oregon, about an hour southwest of Portland. Chartered in 1858, the college is one of the oldest in the Pacific Northwest. The small college takes pride in its friendly, supportive community with a student-faculty ratio of 12:1. Linfield offers a four-week January Term with classes on campus and across the globe. Half of all Linfield College graduates have studied outside the U.S. Linfield College offers 47 majors through three programs: the residential liberal arts and sciences program in McMinnville; the Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Portland; and the Adult Degree Program, which supports students at eight Oregon sites and serves a virtual learning community across the globe. Students balance academic life with participation in 57 clubs, the visual and performing arts, and athletics. The Linfield Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division III Northwest Conference. The football team can boast of the longest winning streak of any college football team in the country, and the women’s softball team has also won NCAA Division III championship titles in recent years.
