Lasell University Admissions Overview

Lasell University admits about three-quarters of those who apply, making it fairly accessible to students with good grades and test scores. Prospective students need to submit scores from either the SAT or ACT, an application, a personal essay, letters of recommendation, and a resume of extracurricular activities. Lasell University Description

Lasell University  is a private liberal arts college located in Newton, Massachusetts. Founded in 1851, it is one of the older institutions of higher learning in the Boston area. The 50-acre suburban campus is just eight miles west of Boston and a short train ride from many of the city’s famous sights and attractions. The university has a student faculty ratio of 13 to 1, and 100% of classes have fewer than 30 students. Lasell offers more than 40 undergraduate majors, the most popular including fashion and retail merchandising, communication, sport management and fashion design and production. Within the university's graduate school, there are four master’s degree programs in education, communication, management and sport management and several graduate certificate programs. Students are active on campus, with opportunities to participate in nearly 40 clubs and organizations and a variety of student leadership programs. The Lasell Lasers compete in the NCAA Division II Eastern College Athletic Conference. Popular sports include soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and track and field.
