Lander University Description:

Lander University is located on a 123-acre wooded campus in Greenwood, South Carolina, a city of 23,000 people. The majority of students at this small public university come from South Carolina, but 28 other states and 17 foreign countries are also represented. The university offers over 60 areas of study in the liberal arts and sciences, as well as professional programs in business, nursing, and education. Business administration is the most popular undergraduate major. The university has other strengths in science and Montessori education, and students can also pursue an engineering dual degree with Clemson University. Academics are supported by a 17 t0 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 23. Student life at Lander is active with over 80 student clubs and organizations. On the athletic front, the Lander Bearcats compete in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference. The university fields five men's and six women's intercollegiate sports.
