Lake Erie College Description:
Lake Erie College is a private liberal arts college located in Painesville, Ohio. The 46-acre campus sits just 30 miles outside of the city of Cleveland. Lake Erie College is best known for its popular equine studies program, based out of the college's 86-acre equestrian facility 5 miles south of campus. From an academic perspective, the college has an average class size of 15 students and a student faculty ratio of 14 to 1. Lake Erie offers 37 undergraduate majors grounded in the liberal arts as well as master's degrees in business administration and education. The most popular undergraduate programs are business administration and equestrian facility management (Lake Erie made my list of top equestrian colleges). Students are actively involved on campus, with more than 30 clubs and organizations. The Lake Erie Storm compete in 23 NCAA Division II sports in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the East Coast Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
