Kentucky State University Admissions Overview:

With an acceptance rate of just 49%, Kentucky State seems like a selective school. Still, applicants with decent grades and test scores have a good chance of being admitted. Kentucky State University Description:

Founded in 1886, Kentucky State University is a four-year, public university located on 900 acres in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Historically Black University has a student body of around 1,600 students supported by a student/faculty ratio of 11 to 1, and it is the smallest public university in Kentucky. KSU offers a variety of associate, baccalaureate, and master degree programs across a host of academic subjects. Professional fields such as business, nursing, criminal justice, and public administration are extremely popular with undergraduates. The school is especially proud of its unique aquaculture program. To stay engaged outside of the classroom, KSU students can choose from over 60 student clubs and organization as well as many Greek organizations. KSU also has intramural sports like archery, swimming, and table tennis. On the intercollegiate front, the KSU Thorobreds compete in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) with sports like men’s golf, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country.
